As the number of students and academic programs grow, the administrative structure with which the University was governed correspondingly changed. The Colleges came into being in 2015, following the promulgation of the revised University statutes in 2002.
Smythe university College is now fundamentally structured into Four Colleges. These Colleges are composed of departments. These Colleges are subdivided into departments. New and existing departments and programs fall under these Colleges. The Departments coordinate and collaborate where necessary. They are;
